Export Barbados (BIDC) in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) has launched the Cleantech Incubation Programme as a part of the Bloom Cleantech Cluster.

We are now welcoming innovative cleantech incubatees to join our pre-incubation (max 10 applicants) and in-house (max 5 applicants) Programmes in the fields of:

  • Renewables & Energy Efficiency
  • Solar PV
  • Solar Thermal
  • Wind Power
  • Bioenergy
  • Waste to Energy
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Energy Storage
  • E-Transportation
  • Blue Economy

Bloom Cleantech incubator will provide for the selected incubatees valuable assistance in business planning and commercialization through individual coaching, certified training and access to grant and private financing.  Grant financing worth of 20 000 BDS per candidate will be awarded only for the residential incubatees.  Pre-incubation programme last 6 months and residential incubation programme  24 months. Both programmes require participation to the mandatory certified training in business modelling and idea validation.  During Bloom cleantech incubation programme incubatees need to develop and complete validated business model and business plan in close cooperation with our experts. Certificates will be issued after programme is successfully completed. Currently Bloom Cleantech Cluster is hosting 10 incubatees in its Cleantech Incubation Facility that is located in Newton, Christ Church.
