Bloom Cleantech Cluster has launched, in close cooperation with BIDC communications department, an exciting Cleantech Futures interview series. All of our stakeholders and business partners are warmly welcome to meet the innovative incubatees of Bloom, the Barbados Cleantech Cluster. Discover their businesses, projects, personal stories and unique journeys in this interview series. We are publishing cleantech futures, one feature a week. Our third cleantech futures interview case is Ecomycö, Bloom cleantech incubatee and startup company that is commercializing biodegradable plastic materials to be used in packaging. The innovative idea of EcoMycö is to use local waste streams (e.g. Sargassum seaweed, cassava and sweet potato peels etc) as a raw material for biodegradable plastics.
