The Barbados Investment and Development Corporation has been invited to partner with the Caribbean Climate Innovation Center (CCIC) to facilitate the Barbados component of ClimateLaunchpad (CLP).

CLP is the world’s largest green business ideas competition, with a mission to unlock the world’s cleantech potential that addresses climate change.  The competition creates a stage for those ideas, determined to address the negative impacts of climate change by way of innovation and invention.  CLP is run by a central team, located in the Netherlands, which is supported by national teams who organize the competition in their country.

CCIC is therefore the regional partner of the CLP programme and they have recently launched the competition in Jamaica, Barbados and Suriname.

The BIDC will be facilitating the two day event which is scheduled for Barbados on July 11th & 12th 2019.
